What to Expect: The Implant Process

Step 1: Personalized Consultation
Your journey begins with a one-on-one consultation with Dr. Geyer. He’ll assess your needs and determine if implants are the right solution for you. In most cases, they are—but we’ll always explore all your options.

Step 2: Imaging & Planning
We’ll take 3D CT images right in our office to precisely plan your implant placement.

Step 3: Implant Placement
The procedure to place a single implant typically takes about an hour and can be performed with local anesthesia or IV sedation, depending on your preference. If a front tooth is involved, a temporary crown will be provided so you’re never without a smile.

Step 4: Healing & Restoration
Implants usually take about 4 months to fully integrate with your jawbone. After healing, Dr. Geyer will take impressions to create your final restoration. Within a few weeks, your custom crown will be placed—and your smile will be complete.
